The 27-year-old had been keen on becoming the Gunners' top striker, but after failing to establish himself, he is now aiming to make the right-sided role his own
Theo Walcott has asked Arsene Wenger to play on the right wing for Arsenal this season.
The 27-year-old has previously insisted that he should be considered as a striker but has struggled to cement that place ahead of Olivier Giroud.
And after failing to establish himself as a forward, Walcott is now keen to secure a role on the right flank under Wenger.
"I have told the manager that I want to be known for playing on the right again," said Walcott.
"I can play up front. I want to know where I want to play. The manager has said I can play up front. It depends on what game it is.
"I know I can do a job up front, as well as on the right. I want to make my position on the right – that's where I know where I am now."
